Original Human Footprint | Playing Cards | Originology | Black History X
Four continents listed on the back of every card.
The Original Human Playing Cards from Black History X put a single bare footprint on the back of the deck, ring it with the founding digits, and name the four continents underneath. Cream on black, the same mark across all fifty-two.
Original Human. International. ESTD.0001.
The footprint is the oldest evidence of the journey. At Laetoli in Tanzania a trail of them sits pressed into volcanic ash, around three and a half million years old and still there. From that plain the walk went everywhere — Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe. Four names on the back of a card, and every one of them reached on foot.
Everybody at the table came from the same place. Some just took longer to get here.
This one is for the kitchen table, the back room, and the game that goes on too long.
