Off the Record | Framed Art Print | Originology | Black History X
Some things are better left unsaid. Some get pressed onto wax.
Off the Record is a bold, graphic portrait of a man in a black trilby and a long dark coat open over deep red, one finger raised to his lips, set against a giant red vinyl record with a turntable at his feet.
Before the internet, the deepest cuts travelled hand to hand: a record passed on, a name whispered, a sound you had to be told about.
Because the best music always felt like a secret worth keeping.
The finger to his lips isn't a warning, it's an invitation to lean in and listen. The record behind him is his halo. The turntable is where it all starts.
Black, deep red and gold on weathered cream. Strong enough to hold a room from across it, textured enough to pull you in close.
Perfect for:
- Vinyl collectors and crate diggers
- DJs, producers and selectors
- Hip-hop heads and music lovers
- Studios, listening rooms and record shelves
- Black History Month and cultural celebrations
Off the Record. Some things you just know.
Hang it. Lean in. Keep it quiet.
Every wall tells a story.

About Originology
Originology is the study of origins: where we came from, what we built, and what was taken out of the record. Every Originology piece starts from one truth. Our story doesn't begin in a chapter or a census. It begins at Day One.
